OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Youth Bureau announces that registration for this year’s girls’ youth softball program is now open. The season runs Mondays-Thursdays from May 4 through July 2. It is open to children aged 6-12 and takes place at the Legends Fields Complex, 99 Churchill Rd., Oswego.
The program includes two games and one practice per week. Practice days and times vary by each team. The cost is $30 to participate in the league.
League divisions are based on skill level and experience. AA is mainly comprised of kids aged 6 to 8 and will mostly have pitches by the coach. AAA will mostly be made up of children aged 7 to 10, and Majors will mainly be for those aged 9 to 12. Both AAA and Majors divisions have children pitching.
The Youth Bureau is also seeking volunteers for the program. Head coaches, assistant coaches, umpires and general volunteers are needed. To apply to be a volunteer, visit this direct application link.
