OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Youth Bureau announces a new event for Oswego County girls aged 10 to 16, “Her Voice, Her Power: Girls Empowerment Retreat.” Registration is now open for the free overnight camp scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1 and 2. Drop-off is at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Camp Hollis, 40 Health Camp Rd., Oswego, and pick-up is at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The retreat aims to help girls build confidence, create meaningful friendships and discover their unique strengths and potential. Campers will participate in outdoor adventures, team-building activities, creative workshops, group discussions and exercises to develop leadership skills. Guest speakers and mentors will be in attendance.
Registration is required by Wednesday, July 15. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. To sign up online, click on the Girls’ Empowerment Retreat camper registration form.

Those interested in volunteering at the retreat can complete an online volunteer interest sign-up form. Volunteers will be selected from the applicant pool, and all selected individuals must complete a background check.
