Join Oswego County Workforce New York for ‘Ticket to Work’ Workshop Oct. 25

OSWEGO COUNTY- Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) recognizes October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month and offers a free “Ticket to Work” workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at its office, located at 200 N. Second St., Fulton.
The workshop provides Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries aged 18 to 64 information about the Social Security Administration’s “Ticket to Work” program and other work incentives that are available to help them enter or re-enter the workforce on their path toward self-sufficiency and financial independence. The Social Security Administration also offers programs that allow beneficiaries to continue their Medicare and Medicaid coverage.
National Disability Employment Awareness Month takes place every October and aims to spread awareness about disability employment issues and celebrate the varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. This year’s theme is “Advancing Access and Equity.”
