OSWEGO – The Salvation Army of Oswego is proud to announce that Kristen’s Kitchen will provide the next Guest Chef Dinner on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, marking the 110th Guest Chef Dinner since the program began in 2007. This year’s dinners are especially meaningful as The Salvation Army celebrates 140 years of service to the Oswego community and county.
Dinner will be BBQ-style and will include the following: smoked chicken thighs, beef brisket, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and cornbread. Desserts and beverages will also be provided by members of the Advisory Board. The cost per meal will be $15. Additionally, discounted meal tickets will not be offered during the 2026 season.
Kristen Aluzzi’s restaurant is located on the historic Battle Island golf course and is open to the public from May through November: Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Reservations are optional, and credit cards are accepted. The restaurant features a full-service dining area and full bar. Kristen and her staff also cater for a variety of events, including parties, showers, weddings, golf outings, and themed events.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and dinner will be served until 6:00 p.m., or until sold out. Guests may choose to dine in at The Salvation Army dining room or take meals to go. All Guest Chef Dinners are hosted at The Salvation Army of Oswego, 73 West 2nd Street, Oswego, NY 13126.
The Guest Chef Dinners are organized by the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army of Oswego and are offered to the community to raise critical funds that support local services, including the weekly Community Lunch, Food Pantry, and Youth Enrichment Services, among others.
Since the program’s inception, the impact has been significant. The Salvation Army of Oswego has hosted 109 Guest Chef Dinners, served 9,970 meals, and raised over $122,000 to support vital programs serving Oswego County.
As The Salvation Army reflects on 140 years of service, the 2026 Guest Chef Dinner Series stands as both a celebration of the past and a continued investment in the future of the Oswego community.
