Learn About Public Transportation Systems on April 23

OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Department of Mobility Management offers a “Ride the Route” class to teach people about the Oswego County and Centro bus transportation systems. The free class runs from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 at the OCO Pulaski Family Welcome Center, 10 Bella Rd.

“We’re thrilled to continue our ‘Ride the Route’ classes this year to help residents better understand Oswego County and Centro bus transportation systems,” said Oswego County Mobility Management Coordinator Kristen Fragale. “During this class, you will learn how to read bus schedules and maps, transfer between different bus systems, plan trips and more. If you’ve ever been interested in taking public transit but have questions about how it works, we encourage you to sign up for the class today.”

In addition to learning how to navigate bus systems, class members will also go on a ride along with a travel expert. The ride will start on an Oswego County Public Transit bus and transfer to a Centro bus. Participants will receive free bus passes for the ride along.

Community groups, schools, businesses and anyone wanting to learn about taking the bus are welcome to sign up for the free “Ride the Route” classes. Registration is required.

Another “Ride the Route” class is scheduled for Friday, May 16 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Fulton Public Library, 160 S. First St.
