OSWEGO COUNTY – Central Oswego County Riders is a new all-terrain vehicle (ATV) club launched to strengthen and connect the trail network across Oswego County and beyond. Founded by a group of passionate ATV riders, the club is dedicated to growing trail access, supporting sustainable riding and driving tourism in Central New York.
“We believe Oswego County has the potential to be a hub for responsible ATV recreation,” said Central Oswego County Riders President Jay Bergin. “We want to bring riders together, support local businesses and help landowners benefit from a well-managed trail system.”
The club’s focus includes creating trails to connect to Oswego County ATV Club trails while working closely with neighboring communities and other ATV and snowmobile clubs. The club will create trail connections between Central Square, Hastings and the north shore of Oneida Lake. It also plans to create connections from western Central Square to Volney and Hannibal in the future.
Key club initiatives include building partnerships with landowners and local businesses, collaborating with area clubs to coordinate mapping and trail access, providing riders with accurate and transparent information and promoting local tourism and economic growth.
As part of its fundraising efforts, the club will participate in Kasoag Lake Wheeler Fest on July 19, marking its first major fundraiser. The event will help raise awareness and support future trail development initiatives. For more details about Wheeler Fest, visit the event Facebook page.
Central Oswego County Riders is seeking members, volunteers and sponsors who share the club’s vision for community-based off-road recreation. For more information, visit www.oswegoriders.org or follow Central Oswego County Riders on social media.
