Oswego County Adds More Buses for New York State Fair Transportation

OSWEGO COUNTY- The Oswego County Department of Mobility Management announces the addition of two buses for transportation to the New York State Fair from Fulton and Oswego. The free transportation is offered on Saturday, Aug. 24.

“Due to high demand, we have decided to add more buses for transportation to the state fair this weekend,” said Oswego County Director of Mobility Management Heather Snow. “Our Fulton and Oswego locations will have two buses each. One of the buses will be an Oswego County Public Transit bus, while the other is a Golden Sun school bus. There are no changes to the bus schedule, and transportation is free regardless of which bus you ride on.”

The Fulton shuttle stop is at the local campus of Cayuga Community College (CCC), 11 River Glen Dr. on Saturday, Aug. 24. Departure and return trips are approximately 45 minutes each.

• Departure times from CCC are 10 a.m.; noon; 2:25 p.m.; 4:25 p.m.; and 6:25 p.m.
• Return trips leave the NYS Fair at 11 a.m.; 1 p.m.; 3:25 p.m.; 5:25 p.m.; and 8:10 p.m.

The Oswego shuttle stop is at the Oswego High School, 2 Buccaneer Blvd. on Saturday, Aug. 24. Bus rides are approximately one hour each way.

• Departure times from the school are 10 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.; 3:25 p.m.; and 5:55 p.m.
• Return trips leave the NYS Fair at 11:15 a.m.; 1:45 p.m.; 4:40 p.m.; and 7:55 p.m.

Oswego County also offers free transportation to the state fair from Central Square and Phoenix on Saturday, Aug. 31. A shuttle runs from the Central Square Walmart, 3018 East Ave., to the Three Rivers Plaza, 219 Co. Rte. 57, Phoenix, to the NYS Fair. Each trip is about an hour.

• Departure times from Central Square are 10 a.m.; 12:10 p.m.; 2:45 p.m.; and 4:55 p.m.
• Departure times from Phoenix are 10:40 a.m.; 12:50 p.m.; 3:25 p.m.; and 5:35 p.m.
• Return trips leave the NYS Fair at 11:20 a.m.; 1:30 p.m.; 4:05 p.m.; 6:15 p.m.; and 8 p.m.

All passengers will be dropped off and picked up in the Pink Lot across State Fair Boulevard near the Toyota Coliseum.
