OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Solid Waste Department reminds residents that the county Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) will shut down for an extended maintenance outage starting on Friday, Aug. 1.
Multiple projects are planned to take place, including extensive concrete work in the dump floor area of the ERF. Maintenance work is expected to last between 60 and 90 days; however, this may be extended as needed.
All haulers will be directed to the Bristol Hill Transfer Station, located at 3125 NYS Rte. 3 in Fulton, for the duration of the outage. The Solid Waste Department is now in the process of installing a rental scale at that facility to help with traffic flow while the inbound scale is down.
Residents are asked to be patient with facility staff as they work through all of the projects scheduled at various locations.
