Oswego County Offers Free Transportation to Independence Day Block Party

OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Department of Mobility Management offers free park-n-ride transportation to the City of Oswego’s Independence Day Block Party on Sunday, July 6.

“We’re excited to offer free transportation to the Independence Day Block Party in Oswego,” said Oswego County Director of Mobility Management Heather Snow. “We know that residents love going to this popular event each year, and our free park-n-ride shuttles make it easy to get to the festivities without worrying about walking too much or finding parking in the busy downtown area. Our shuttle buses will be running continuous loops throughout the afternoon and evening, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the fun!”

The park-n-ride locations and shuttle stops are as follows:

  • Oswego Block Party, 13 W. Oneida St. (shuttle stop is located on West Second Street)
  • Breitbeck Park Parking Lot, 91 Lake St. (shuttle stop is located at the Kingsford Bell Lot)
  • Oswego County Courthouse Parking Lot: 25 E. Oneida St. (shuttle stop is located on Oneida Street)
  • Shapiro Parking Lot, 410 W. First St. (shuttle stop is located on West Second Street)

Shuttle riders should be on the lookout for the colorful Oswego County Public Transit buses. The shuttle starts running at 2:30 p.m. and will continue to make trips to each stop until after the fireworks show which begins at 9:43 p.m. The shuttle buses are sponsored by the City of Oswego.
