OSWEGO COUNTY – Still need to get your flu vaccine? The Oswego County Health Department has got you covered with weekly immunization clinics at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic located at 70 Bunner St., Oswego.
Influenza clinics run by appointment only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Fridays through Nov. 21 and 24. COVID-19 and pneumonia vaccines will also be available. In addition, general immunization clinics continue to be open every Tuesday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The Oswego County Health Department participates with the following insurances: UMR POMCO Select; BlueCross BlueShield; Fidelis Care; Empire Plan; UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage Plans; American Progressive Medicare Advantage, Humana PPO Medicare Advantage, Lifetime Benefit Solutions Medicare Advantage, Wellcare Today’s Options Medicare Advantage, Aetna Medicare Advantage, NYS Medicaid, and Medicare Part B.
Clients with non-participating insurance plans may need to pay out-of-pocket and submit for reimbursement through their insurance provider. The health department accepts cash, check, Visa and Mastercard payments but does not accept FSA/HSA cards. Visa and Mastercard payments have an additional processing fee.
Upon request, a receipt will be provided for submission to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. The health department also has programs to help cover the cost for those without insurance or who are unable to pay. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.
People should bring their insurance card and photo ID with them to their appointment.
