Senior Fair set for September 17th

Members of the Caring Community Advocates Senior Fair planning committee meet to discuss plans for this year’s Oswego County Senior Fair. The free event will be held September 17th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 East First Street in Oswego. OSWEGO – Area seniors will want to mark their calendars for a special event taking place Tuesday, September 17, the Oswego County Senior Fair. Presented by Senator John Mannion’s office, in partnership with the Caring Community Advocates, the Oswego County Senior Fair will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 East First Street in Oswego.

“This year we have partnered with Senator John Mannion’s office and will be offering the most robust Senior Fair we have ever hosted,” said Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Coordinator of Community Health Joelle Hutson. “Seniors and caregivers attending this event will have the opportunity to gather the latest information and speak with providers about the many beneficial programs, services, and healthcare options in Oswego County that are specifically for them. The Senior Fair is a way we can celebrate these members of our community as well as caregivers and those that interact with our seniors on a regular basis.”

Sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York, the Oswego County Senior Fair is free to attend and will have more than 60 exhibitors and vendors offering health tips, wellness information, and more, including a free meal, flu and Covid shots.
