Sign Up for a ‘Ride the Route’ Class to Learn How to Use Public Transit

OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Department of Mobility Management reminds residents about its upcoming “Ride the Route” classes to demonstrate how Oswego County and Centro bus transportation systems work.

The free classes scheduled are:

  • Wednesday, April 23, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., OCO Pulaski Family Welcome Center located at 10 Bella Rd.
  • Friday, May 16, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Fulton Public Library located at 160 S. First St.

During each class, participants will learn how to read bus schedules and maps, plan trips, transfer between different bus systems and more. A travel expert will also accompany class members for a ride-along trip and provide them with first-hand experience of how to transfer between an Oswego County Transit bus and a Centro bus. Participants will receive free bus passes for the ride along.

Community groups, schools, businesses and anyone wanting to learn about taking the bus are welcome to sign up for the free “Ride the Route” classes. Registration is required.
