OSWEGO COUNTY – Following the recent designation of the Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary, sanctuary co-managers National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries (ONMS) and New York State are working with DLR Group to develop a Programming, Partnerships and Facilities Plan.
As part of this plan, the public is invited to take a survey to share more about the ways to experience Lake Ontario and the Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary.
The survey takes about five minutes to complete.
Results of the survey will be used to recommend new programs, events and places in partnership with organizations across Oswego, Cayuga, Wayne and Jefferson counties as part of the Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary’s Programming, Partnership and Facilities Plan.
The plan will show how the sanctuary could support what people already love about Lake Ontario and suggest new opportunities to make it easier to visit the lake, learn about its rich culture and local history and enjoy the shore and waters. The plan will be completed in fall 2025.
The deadline for submitting the survey is Saturday, May 31. To access the survey, visit this direct link at https://dlrgroup.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6G81hmEIXNu0Hu6.
