Annual Fly-In Planned At Fort Ontario

OSWEGO, NY – The Hawks R/C Junior Aviators and the Oswego Valley Modelaires R/C flying club, in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation – Central Region, will be hosting their fourth annual Fort Ontario R/C Fly-In.

It will take place Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Fly-In will be held at scenic Fort Ontario on Lake Ontario in the city of Oswego.

Fort Ontario is also the children’s venue for Harborfest this year. So come to Harborfest and while you’re there visit Fort Ontario and see the air show.

The R/C Fly-In will feature miniature radio controlled aircraft flown by pilots from several Central New York clubs.

Miniature aircraft pilots of all categories are encouraged to visit and fly with us.

Enjoy a day of open flying at this beautiful location.

Pilots must be AMA members or equivalent.

The general public is invited to attend and mingle with the pilots.

There will be opportunities for any interested youngster or adult to fly an R/C Trainer aircraft under the guidance of an instructor.

The Hawks program is a not-for-profit 501(c)3, youth oriented, R/C flight training program located here in Fulton.

Flight training is provided free of charge to local youth in the greater Oswego County area.

The Hawks are funded in part by the NY State Office of Children & Family Services & Oswego City – County Youth Bureau.

The Fly-in is sponsored in part by Redneck R/C hobbies of Fulton.
