“Proceeds help LVOC provide adults in Oswego County aged 16 years or older with basic literacy programs,” said Jane Murphy, director.

The ability to read is one of the most important skills needed in daily life but is often taken for granted.

One in five people in Oswego County have below basic level reading skills.

The goal of LVOC is to provide opportunities for these adults to achieve personal freedom by building basic reading, writing and computer skills for free in a confidential environment.
