Anthony House to Host Informational Community Meeting in Hannibal to Share Plans for New Comfort Care Facility

Hannibal, New York – Anthony House, a dedicated provider of compassionate end-of-life care, will host an Informational Community Meeting on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hannibal Municipal Building, at 824 Cayuga Street, in Hannibal, to provide information and updates to all Oswego County residents on the development of a new comfort care facility in the community.
Oswego County residents, community leaders, and supporters are encouraged to attend to learn more about this important initiative, ask questions, and explore opportunities to get involved. The event will feature a presentation on the vision for Anthony House, project updates, and a Q&A session with leadership and project team members. A light lunch, beverages and dessert will also be provided.

Kateri Spinella, co-founder of Wellhouse Ministries and a dedicated hospice nurse, emphasized the critical need for expanded hospice care in the region.

“This facility is about more than just providing medical care—it’s about creating a space where patients and families can find peace, comfort, and dignity in life’s final journey. We believe that every person deserves compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care, and this project will ensure that families in our community have access to the support they need when they need it most,” said Spinella.

The upcoming hospice care facility will serve as a vital resource for Hannibal and the surrounding areas, offering specialized care in a homelike setting for individuals facing terminal illnesses. The goal is to fill the gaps in hospice services and ensure that no family in the community has to navigate this journey alone.
