APW Elementary School recently held a holiday celebration that invited staff and students to wear pajamas, bring in a stuffed animal and read a favorite book.

To kick off the celebration, “The Night Before Christmas” was read over the PA system during morning announcements.
Students were then encouraged to get comfortable in their pajamas and read a book of their choosing.
The celebration was concluded when students gathered in the school’s gymnasium where principals Michael McAuliff and Julie Woolson read the popular book “The Polar Express.”
“Before the movie came out, it was a book,” McAuliff explained to the students. “And a book allows us to use our imagination.”
