On Friday, February 15, students in kindergarten and first grade at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School participated in a celebration of centennial proportions.

The students and their teachers commemorated the 100th day of the 2012-13 school year and celebrated all of their hard work and learning over the past several months.
Kindergarten students were outfitted in 100th day of school crowns for their celebration while the first grade students opted to dress like they were 100 years old for the day.
Both grade levels participated in a variety of fun reading, counting and math themed activities.
The students counted to 100 by ones, fives, and tens; they sat silently for 100 seconds; they sang along to the 100th day of school song; they did 100 exercises; and they listened to a book about the 100th day of school.
