APW Honors Music Students With First Celebration Of The Tri-M Music Honor Society

ALTMAR, PARISH, WILLIAMSON, NY – APW Junior-Senior High School recently honored the musical talents of its students with a Tri-M Music Honor Society induction ceremony. A nationally-renown organization, this year marks the first of the society’s recognition at the school.

On Tuesday, June 6, students and families gathered together in the APW JSHS auditorium for a ceremony recognizing the honor society’s first inductees at the school. With more than 2100 chapters across the United States and the world, the Tri-M Music Honor Society works to recognize students who have excelled both academically and musically.

The evening was directed by school music teacher and society advisor Richard Haynes and included a candle lighting ceremony and official induction of new members. Four students were selected to perform solo musical pieces between portions of the program. Three seniors – Richard Haynes, III, Raegan Nowodworski, and Julliana Phillips – were also honored with the presentation of Senior Cords, meant to be worn at graduation in honor of their participation.

The following students were inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society at APW: Alexis Allen, Jason Bobanick, Louisa Butterworth, Bruce “Boe” Flanagan, Camden Haynes, Peri Lovenguth, Arayha Manor, Raegan Nowodworski, Sawyer Oakes, Julliana Phillips, and Leah Tanner. Participating as a continuing member was Richard Haynes, III.
