APW Invites Class Of 2020 To Picnic, Graduation Parade

ALTMAR-PARISH-WILLIAMSTOWN – On June 26, the APW JR/SR High School will be putting on a senior picnic and a graduation parade.

Senior Picnic – The Class of 2020 is invited to attend a Senior Picnic at the Jr./Sr. High School on June 16 from 3 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Pizza, snacks, and beverages will be provided. They will also have a special guest DJ and yard games available. This event is limited to seniors only. Students are required to wear facemasks and adhere to social distancing. Students are required to park in the parking lot in front of the athletic entrance.

Graduation Parade – At 5:30 p.m. that same day, there will be a Graduation Parade through the community to honor the graduates. Graduates can drive a decorated car in the parade. The parade will last approximately two hours as they will drive through the school district (see parade route below).

Family, friends, and community members will be encouraged to line the parade route to celebrate the seniors. Expectations for the parade will be communicated to our students at the conclusion of the picnic. School administration and local officials will ensure everyone will be safe during this event.
