APW Offers Free Thanksgiving Meals For Senior Citizens

ALTMAR-PARISH-WILLIAMSTOWN – Turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie. Sound yummy? Then, please drive through to pick-up your first taste of Thanksgiving at the APW High School Student Government’s 34th Annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner.

The APW High School Student Government will host their Annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner for the senior citizen residents of the district. Due to the COVID-19 protocols, this year’s dinner will be held drive-through style on Thursday, November 19 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in front of the Junior-Senior High School.

The to-go boxes will included the traditional Thanksgiving fare of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, squash, vegetables, rolls and condiments. And of course, there will be pie for dessert.

All Senior Citizens from the community are invited to join the high schoolers for this cost-free dinner. All those wishing to place an order for a Thanksgiving Dinner to-go are asked to place their order by calling school’s main office at 625-5220, starting October 19, 2020.

Orders will only be accepted through November 4, 2020, so please call early to insure they will have enough food.
