MINETTO – Minetto School students in Crystal Mason’s fifth grade art classes studied and learned about artists such as Monet and Warhol.
In community spirit, 34 volunteers, used their knowledge and talent to decorate the town park, turning trash cans into treasure.
The students community spirit is much appreciated by the Town of Minetto and all who enjoy the beautiful park on the Oswego River.
Seen in the photo is one group of the participants with barrels representing works (from left) by Van Gogh and his Starry Night, students’ own design, Georgia O’Keeffe and her closeup of flowers, Claude Monet based on his painting of the Japanese Bridge and Water Lilies, the Campbell’s Soup Can based on the work of Andy Warhol, Mondrian and his unique geometric style.
