OSWEGO – Every Saturday it is like two hours of spa time for your mind.
Bring your own coffee.
We will supply all the materials and the inspiration.
Enjoy making art under the guidance of an art instructor.
Art with Juice is the same except that it is for children and we supply the juice.
Art with Coffee and Art with Juice workshops happen every Saturday at the Art Association of Oswego.
No experience is needed and no need to register, just walk in.
The fee is $10 for an adult and $5 for a child.
The Art with Coffee meets from 10 a.m. to noon and Art with Juice meets from noon to 1 p.m.
Youth 14 years and older are welcome to come to Art with Coffee.
Every Saturday there is a different workshop.
There might be drawing, painting, collage, printmaking or whatever the guest instructor wants to teach.
On July 20, Bill DeMott will teach printmaking using a still life for inspiration.
This is a wonderful way to learn about printing and if you are experienced, a good way to stretch your creativity.
On July 27, since it will be Harborfest Weekend in Oswego, Art With Coffee/Juice will be done a little differently.
There will be no fee, only pay for what you make.
The activity will be rock painting, and each rock you paint will be $2.
All ages are welcome from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Two art instructors will be there to help with design and paint technique.
On August 3, Marybeth Sorrendo will be doing reverse tie-dye, which is removing dye from shirts, rather than using dyes.
For this one please bring a black, blue, brown or red T-shirt or a large piece of dark-colored fabric.
All other needed supplies and tools will be provided.
