Autism Connections Hosts Movie Night

FULTON , NY – The Parents of Special Children, Autism Connections group will meet on Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. for a special movie night featuring “Last One Picked, First one Picked On,” a film hosted by learning disabilities expert Richard Lavoie focusing on social skills and playing with friends.

“Playing with friends is a daily ritual for most children,” noted Connections organizer and PSC educational advocate, Theresa Familo. “Children with learning disabilities are often isolated and rejected. This movie with Lavoie addresses the social problems these children face and offers some practical solutions for parents.”

The movie takes an in-depth look at why children with disabilities face such social problems and what parents or teachers can do to help improve on these important social skills.

The Autism Connections meeting will take place at the Parents of Special Children Inc. office at 2 Tower Drive in Fulton.

There is no cost to attend the showing of the film, but RSVP is necessary as space is limited.
