Autism Connections To Meet

Submitted Article

FULTON, NY – Autism Connections, a group aimed at supporting families who have children on the Autism Spectrum, will be holding its September meeting on Sept. 9.

The group will meet at the office of Parents of Special Children, Inc., 2 Tower Drive, Suite C, Fulton, from 7 – 9 p.m.

Guest speaker, Janice Soper, an educational advocate from Parents of Special Children, will be joining the group to discuss the start of a new academic school year.

Please bring any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child’s educational programming along with your child’s IEP.

Our advocate can read over documents, attend informal meetings, or Committee on Special Education meetings.

She can recommend options for your child’s program or make referrals to a more appropriate program or agency.

Sometimes parents just need another impartial person to help them understand what was said at meetings, give support and take notes.

The Educational Advocate’s services are at no cost to families residing in Oswego County.

People affected by Autism are welcome to join us at any time.
