OSWEGO, NY – A bit of local history will be available at the Oswego Health Auxiliary’s annual bazaar to be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. October 9 and 10 in the lobby of Oswego Hospital.
During the bazaar, tickets to win the American Girl Doll, Caroline Abbott, will be available.
Caroline is one of American Girl Doll’s historic characters and her story takes place during the War of 1812.
While the story centers on Caroline growing up in nearby Sackets Harbor, local residents know that at least one battle during this war was fought in Oswego Harbor.
The two-day bazaar, which is open to the community, will also feature home-baked goods, crafts and themed gift baskets.
A complete turkey dinner will be served both nights from 5 to 7 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria.
