Granby Elementary School in Fulton, has received a $500 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program to support the school’s science programs. Mark Giovanetti, owner of Babcock Oil Co., Inc. worked with school officials to secure the grant which is one of 4,000 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations. The grants were made possible by funding from the Exxon Mobil Corporation.
“I am especially happy that I could be part of your continued efforts to provide the very best education to students at Granby Elementary School,†said Giovanetti as he presented the check to Heather Perry, principal at Granby Elementary School.
While the exact use of the money has not yet been determined, it will be used to provide additional materials for the science program at the school.
This is the sixth consecutive year Giovanetti has successfully received this grant for Fulton area schools. With the award to Granby, all schools in the Fulton District have received monies from Giovanetti and the Exxon Mobile Corporation. “We’ve come full circle,†said Giovanetti.
