Baby Slings Provided At Recent Event

OSWEGO, NY – Lisa Emmons, owner of Mother Earth Baby, shows Myndie Young the correct way to wear a double-ring baby sling for securely carrying a newborn or toddler.

The slings were provided to participants in the community baby shower for new and expectant mothers.

Sponsored by Oswego County Opportunities’ OPTIONS and WIC programs, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County, the Oswego County Breastfeeding Coalition, Mother Earth Baby and the Oswego Hospital, the event featured presentations on the expectations of motherhood and the benefits of breastfeeding, as well as education and discussion regarding nutrition throughout pregnancy and while breastfeeding and what to expect while in the hospital for delivery.
