Backus Endorsed By Senator Ritchie

FULTON, NY – State Senator Patty Ritchie announced her endorsement of Michael C. Backus for Oswego County Clerk.

“Having served as St. Lawrence County Clerk, I am familiar with the job and responsibilities and I know that Michael Backus is the right person for the Clerk’s office here in Oswego County,” Senator Ritchie said. “He is innovative and passionate about public service and I know he’ll bring some strong leadership qualities to that office.”

“I thank Senator Ritchie for her support and I look forward to campaigning with her this fall,” Backus said. “Having her insight and experience as a former clerk will be a huge asset both on the campaign trail, but also once we are successful in November.”

The Oswego County Clerk’s office is on the ballot this November due to the death of George Williams.

Williams served as the Oswego County Clerk for more than 30 years.
