Funded by Bank of America, the foundation gave more than $200 million in 2010, making the bank one of the largest corporate cash donors in the United States.

According to Mark Cuppernull, Bank of America Central New York president, the grant is part of a long-standing tradition of investing in the communities the bank serves.

“Our partnership with the United Way of Greater Oswego County reflects a shared commitment to creating opportunities for individuals and families in Central New York. This grant will help the organization build on a track record of success that any organization would envy,” said Cuppernull.

The grant will be used for the United Way’s Community Care Fund.

“We are very pleased to receive this grant and proud to count Bank of America among our supporters,” said Executive Director of the United Way of Greater Oswego County, Melanie Trexler.
