OSWEGO – Who wants their feathered friends to live in plain old wooden birdhouses? Not Bonnie Sommers of the Lakeside Artisans Cooperative in downtown Oswego.

On June 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. during the farmers’ market, Sommers will demonstrate how to decorate a birdhouse so that you will be proud of it and the birds will love to live there.
Visitors to the market on Thursday evenings are encouraged to stop into the Lakeside Artisans shop, take a look at the demonstrations, and see the shop’s selection of fine art and handcrafted gifts.
Sommers is a Fulton resident and member of the Lakeside Artisans.
Her paintings of birds and other wildlife are exquisitely detailed and lifelike.
Her framed artwork and unique handmade jewelry are available at the shop in the Canal Commons at 191 W. First St.
