PHOENIX – Music filled the air in the John C. Birdlebough High School auditorium during a recent fall concert.

Student musicians delighted the audience with a full lineup of songs throughout the evening.
The Phoenix Firebird Symphonic Winds ensemble, under the direction of Liza Grethel, began the concert with four songs before vocalists took the stage with choral director Brian Logee.
Under Logee’s direction, the concert chorus and the chamber singers each performed a handful of songs before the symphonic winds closed out the program with three songs.

Soloists for the evening were vocalists Shelby Bower and Olivia Ripley; Ethan Remington (guitar); and Alicia Durst (violin).
Additional concerts are slated throughout the school year.
Several holiday concerts will be held in December.
