“Call before you dig.”

Those are the words that a representative from Dig Safely New York shared with Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Operations students at Oswego County BOCES students enrolled in this adult education program at OCB learn how to operate and maintain several different types of heavy equipment machinery including loaders, excavators, dozers and backhoes.
Many of the students have a professional interest in the heavy equipment industry or are currently working in the field and are attending the program to refine their skills on state-of-the-art equipment.
HEMO Instructor Ken Koegel invites a representative from Dig Safely to speak to his students about the importance of calling 811 to get underground utility lines marked before they begin any excavation job.
