PALERMO – On February 7, the Tobacco Free Network partnered with Palermo Boy Scout Troop #760.
The Tobacco Free Network served as sponsors for the Boy Scouts’ annual Blue and Gold Celebration event.
The Blue and Gold celebration is the time to celebrate the pack’s anniversary, thank pack leaders and other adults who have made contributions and provided support to the pack.
Tobacco Free Network of CNY staff provided education to the scouts and their families about Big Tobacco and its marketing practices on our youth.
The Tobacco Free Network of CNY educates community members and policy makers to reduce the impact of tobacco marketing and eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke.
The network also works to provide free technical support and materials to establish tobacco-free policies for properties.
The network’s involvement with the Boy Scout Troop #760 was an opportunity to educate youth about the dangers of tobacco and help them live healthy lives.
