Bridges To Caring Walk To Feature Coloring Contest

FULTON, NY – In an effort to include all ages in the upcoming American Red Cross Bridges to Caring Walk, Pathfinder Bank has signed on as major sponsor with its sponsorship including the coloring contest.

Children in grades K-6 are eligible to color and submit the official contest form.

Pathfinder Bank has signed on to become a major sponsor of the American Red Cross Bridges to Caring Walk. Discussing the route which crosses in front of the Pathfinder Bank in Fulton are Deana Michaels, branch manager for Pathfinder Bank; Karen Ferguson, branch director American Red Cross; and Brenda Niver of Pathfinder Bank.Forms can be picked up at the American Red Cross branch office at 333 W. Entries may be returned to the Red Cross office or to Pathfinder Bank.

All entries will be hung in the Pathfinder Bank in Fulton prior to the walk with judging being done on the day of the walk.

This year’s Bridges to Caring Walk will be held on Sept. 27.

Pre-registration is encouraged and all pre-registrants will be entered into a special drawing for a “Healthy Living Basket” containing items to promote a health lifestyle donated from local merchants.

The first 100 registrants will also receive a free T-shirt.

Participants are encouraged to secure donations from friends and family and there will be a rewards program with increasing gifts at each higher level of giving.

We are encouraging groups, families, workplaces and individuals to participate in the Bridges to Caring Walk in order to support the American Red Cross.

The walk begins and ends at the Price Chopper parking lot in Fulton.

If you haven’t pre-registered by Sept. 15, you can register at 8:30 a.m. with the walk beginning at 9 a.m.

One loop around the bridges is one and one half miles and for those who enjoy walking some registrants have already indicated that they will be going around twice for a full three-mile walk.
