FULTON, NY – Lion Ron Browning and Lion Past President David Dingman, were each presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship award—the highest honor given to a Lion— at the Fulton club’s 2025 Lions Loot event, it was announced by club President David Guyer.
“The Melvin Jones Fellowship is the Lions International Foundation’s highest honor,” Guyer said. “It represents humanitarian qualities such as generosity, compassion and concern for the less fortunate. Both Ron and Dave embody these qualities, and they have been exemplary lions, serving for many years as co-chairs of our tremendously successful Lions Loot Sweepstakes, and participating in countless community projects over the years. We salute them and thank them both for their invaluable contributions to our club and to the Greater Fulton community.”
Browning serves as Chief Technology Officer for Fulton Savings Bank, and Dingman owns the Medicine Place pharmacies in Fulton and Phoenix, which have also sponsored the first-place prize in the club’s Charby’s Duck Derby for many years.
The Fulton Lions Club, known for their Lions Loot Sweepstakes annual Duck Derby, and Mane Event Comedy Night, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams and hearing aids to residents in the Greater Fulton area.
