Budweiser Rock Stage Keeps Harborfest Rocking

OSWEGO, NY – The Budweiser Rock Stage at Harborfest always keeps the rock and roll beat of the festival pumping and will be no different this year.

The Budweiser Rock Stage originally slated to be located on East Second Street in front of Burke’s Home Center this year has found its way back to its original home at the Port Authority in Oswego.

Port Authority Executive Director Jonathan Daniels said, “The Port Authority is pleased to be able to welcome the Budweiser Rock Stage back to our venue. With the space available and the ability to consolidate the midway and Budweiser Rock Stage in one location, we were more than happy to work with the Harborfest staff and host the stage back in its original home.”

Harborfest Board President Kim Cloonan said of the change, “Harborfest is happy to have the Budweiser Rock Stage back to its original location.  We’re grateful to the port for giving us an opportunity to have the venue back, especially with its new and improved look and feel.”

Cloonan continued, “It’s also great for the festival to have the midway and stage within proximity of each other again, and this venue also gives a better vantage point for the fireworks down by the water.”

Budweiser has more presence than just at the Budweiser Rock Stage this year.

They will be bringing more entertainment and fun for the festival to two other locations.

The Budweiser Clydesdales, otherwise known as the “Gentle Giants,” will be at the Historic Maritime District at the corner of West Third and Lake streets.
“This year in particular the Historic Maritime District has experienced significant growth with an increase in vendors, sponsor attractions, and entertainment,” said Cloonan. “Bringing the Clydesdales in to anchor the venue is the icing on the cake,” she said.

Also new at Harborfest this year Budweiser will be bringing the Busch Garden animal exhibit to Breitbeck Park.

Of Budweiser’s generous support, Dan Dorsey Jr. of Eagle Beverage said, “We’re excited to have the Clydesdales, Busch Gardens, and it’s great to be back at the Port near the water. Budweiser has been a long-time friend and sponsor of the festival and we’re thankful for the continued partnership.”

He added, “The Clydesdales will also be attached to their hitch and parading up to Breitbeck park at 2 p.m. on Saturday the 26th, so we’d love for people to come and see these famous and well-loved horses doing what they do best.”
