Hess owns the Hannibal Pharmacy and provided the school cross-country teams with more than just moral support this season.

He bought each athlete, manager and coach a shirt with the team’s motto.

“When I think of the words ‘purple pride,’ Jack Hess comes to mind,” said varsity cross-country coach Dan Pawlewicz. “Jack has served terms on the district’s board of education. He is passionate about their community and the HCSD!”

To show their gratitude for the donation, members of the cross-country teams delivered a thank you card to Hess.

They noted they were grateful for Hess’ ongoing support of the community and its student-athletes.
