FULTON, NY – CNY Arts Center announces auditions for the 2016 Dessert Theatre series “A Night at the Tonys,”a tribute to Tony Award winning musicals and the songs that made them famous.
The Tony award-winning music will be featured throughout the 2016 season of Dessert Theatre which runs February, July and October.
Auditions will be held January 8 from 5-9 p.m., January 9 from noon to 4 p.m. and call backs will be held January 10 from 5-9 p.m.
Auditioners are asked to prepare 16-32 bars of a song that best demonstrates your vocal ability.
This audition is for adults only.
“The Tonys appeal to generations both young and old,” said director Nick Pike, local actor/vocalist. “I hope will bring fresh faces both on stage and in the seats of the center.”
The first evening of Broadway Tony songs and luscious desserts will run Valentine’s weekend, February 13 at CNY Arts Center.
Dessert Theatre will return July and October as a three-part series celebrating the Tonys.
Auditions will be held at the Arts Center, 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga Community College campus.
