OSWEGO COUNTY – Summer is right around the corner and the Oswego County Youth Bureau is now accepting camper applications for the 2025 season. Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario, Camp Hollis is a co-ed summer camp for children aged 6 to 14.

Youth have the option of enrolling as residential campers or as part of the day camp program. Residential camping is offered to those aged 8 to 12, except for week four, which is offered to teens aged 13 to 14. Residential camping offers a fun-filled week of overnight camping, with overnight sessions running Sunday through Friday.

Day camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and is open to campers aged 6 to 12. Day campers enjoy the same programs offered to resident campers and have lunch with the rest of camp. Extended care options are available from 8 to 9 a.m. and/or from 4 to 5 p.m.

Since its origin in 1946, Camp Hollis has taken great pride in making its summer camp programs accessible to all Oswego County families. Day camp is offered for a flat rate of $130 a week per child. For those enrolling in extended care, there is an additional fee of $25 per week. Residential camp fees are based on household income and family size and range from $50 to $205 for week-long overnight camp sessions.

Scholarships for the overnight camp program are available through Friends of Camp Hollis for families with financial hardships.

Camp Hollis presents a different theme for campers every week. The 2025 schedule is:

Week 1: June 29 to July 4: Aloha Summer Week

Get ready to be transported to a paradise full of sunshine, surf and sand – all without leaving Camp Hollis! Campers will experience a week full of tropical fun with vibrant colors, swimming and ocean-inspired crafts.

Week 2: July 6 to 11: Around the World Week

Pack your bags and get ready for an exciting adventure! Campers will “travel” to a new country or region each day, learning about different cultures while experiencing the crafts, games and stories that make each place unique.

Week 3: July 13 to 18: Christmas in July

Get ready for a holiday celebration like no other! This magical week brings the festive spirit of Christmas to the summer – with all the fun, joy and warmth of the holiday season, minus the snow. From holiday crafts to “snowball” fights, campers will feel like it’s Christmas morning, no matter the temperature.

Week 4: July 20 to 25: Best of Camp Hollis

Get ready for the ultimate celebration of everything that makes Camp Hollis the best place to be! This special week is all about reliving the most exciting and popular activities beloved by campers, with some exciting new twists thrown in for even more fun. Best of Camp Hollis celebrates teens, so all 13- and 14-year-olds are called to join in the fun!

  • Please note: The overnight camp sessions for this week are available for those aged 13 and 14 only, but day campers of all ages can still attend this week.

Week 5: July 27 to Aug. 1: Color Wars

Get ready for the most vibrant and competitive week of the summer! This high energy, team-based week will have campers covered in their team’s color as they compete in a series of exciting challenges, games, and activities designed to test their strength, creativity and teamwork. The week is all about fun, friendly competition and showing your true colors.

Week 6: Aug. 3 to 8: Medieval Times

Step back in time and experience the adventure, mystery and excitement of the Middle Ages! From knights and fair maidens to castles and dragons, this week is filled with epic quests, royal tournaments and all things medieval. It’s time for campers to discover their inner knight or nobleman and go on a journey full of fun, camaraderie and medieval magic.

Week 7: Aug. 10 to 15: Wild West

Saddle up and get ready for a rip-roaring adventure! This action-packed week will transport campers to the untamed days of the wild west – where cowboys, cowgirls, outlaws and lawmen roamed the plains – and every day was an adventure. From rodeos and campfire stories to treasure hunts and showdowns, this week is full of thrills, fun and frontier spirit.

Owned and operated by the Oswego County Youth Bureau, Camp Hollis offers a variety of summer camp options for children with swimming, nature hikes, games, sports, arts and crafts and many more activities available.
