Canale’s Restaurant to Host Type 1 Diabetes Fundraiser Oct. 6

OSWEGO, NY – A popular local restaurant is teaming up with an Oswego family in its effort to support Type 1 diabetes research.

Canale’s Restaurant will join forces with Mike and Sally McCrobie to host a JDRF benefit event Oct. 6.

The partnership, which began nearly two decades ago, has been effective in raising thousands of dollars to fight Type 1 diabetes over the years, and they hope the upcoming fundraiser will replicate that past success.

According to Nick Canale Jr., owner of Canale’s Restaurant, 20 percent of all purchases (dine-in, takeout, delivery or frozen dinners) on Oct. 6 will go toward Type 1 diabetes research.

The fundraiser will be held at both Canale’s Restaurant locations: 156 W. Utica St., Oswego, and 7421 Oswego Road, Liverpool.

Customers must present a coupon to their server/delivery driver the day of the fundraiser to direct the funds towards JDRF research.
