Candidate Visits Rotary

OSWEGO – Thom Benedetto, candidate for family court judge, was the guest at Oswego Rotary this week.

Benedetto, an Oswego County lawyer, has more than 33 years of involvement in the court system and has a broad and diverse legal background. Currently, he is a full-time Family Court Referee hearing cases involving domestic violence, custody/visitation disputes, and issues of alleged child neglect/abuse.

He is a family man (married with five children and four grandchildren) and has old fashion beliefs – interaction within the family, organizations and communities as well as verbal communication with each other versus texting and tweeting.

Benedetto and his wife and active volunteers on the Oswego County Search and Rescue Team and are both K9 handlers and trainers for Search and Rescue dogs.

Additionally, he’s been involved with the APW school board, Little League, Relay for Life, the Amboy Planning Board, the APW Educational Foundation and the Oswego County Mock Trial program.

He is a lifelong sportsman, avid hiker, amateur photographer, is a member of the Oswego County ATV club and is involved with the Square Valley Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club. missing or outdated ad config
