OSWEGO, NY – Compass Credit Union in Oswego recently donated $500 to the Home and School Association at Oswego Middle School.
The money will help pay for winter clothes, food and other student needs.

The credit union sponsors an in-school banking program at Oswego Middle School and six other schools in Oswego to help students learn about the importance of saving money.
At the middle school, several students also work as tellers on designated “Bank at School” days.
Standing with the check (from left) are Jackie Wiegand, marketing administrator for Compass Credit Union; middle school teacher Kenn Kern, who teaches a financial literacy class; student tellers Audrey Atkins and Megan DeLong; and Principal Mary Beth Fierro.
