Carol Burghart Named Artist of the Month for July

OSWEGO – Watercolor painter Carol Burghart is being featured as Artist of the Month for July at the Riverside Artisans Cooperative.

According to Burghart, “Most of my paintings are of local subjects in and around the upstate New York area, particularly the Fair Haven and Sodus Bay regions. There is magic in watercolor for me, as I am not always in control of what goes on. The spontaneity and unpredictability of the medium is exciting.”

To honor her as July’s Artist of the Month, Riverside Artisans is holding a free raffle of her work.

The winner will receive a print of Carol’s original painting of the Oswego Lighthouse Warm Sunset, or another print of the winner’s choice.

Just stop by the shop at 191 W. First St. to fill out a raffle ticket to register for the drawing at the end of the month.

No purchase is necessary.

The winner will be notified at the end of July.

The Riverside Artisans Cooperative features original fine art and hand-crafted gifts from local artisans and craftspeople.
