Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s “Great Tastings,” returns from 2 – 5 p.m. May 1 at the Lake Ontario Conference Center, Oswego, said Mary Margaret Pezzella-Pekow, CCOC executive director.
“Last year’s event raised nearly $10,000 for our Community Services programs,” said Pezzella-Pekow. “ Thanks to the generous support we received from this event, our food pantry was able to feed 488 families, and the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), received funding for its summer youth program. Our goal this year is to raise $12,500 for our Community Services programs.”
This year’s event will again feature pianist Larry Rapshaw, and a variety of food and beverages to sample, multiple gift raffles, a 50-50 drawing, and New York State Lottery ticket boards.
“For the price of a ticket, guests receive a complimentary wine glass and can sample offerings from NY wineries that, to-date, include Colloca Estates and Lakeland Winery,” Pezzela-Pekow said. “Eagle Beverage will have samples of a variety of local craft beers.
“G.S Steamers and Canales are among local restaurants and shops providing food. There will also be a 50-50 drawing, and multiple gift raffles. Vendors will have items for purchase.
Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the Catholic Charities office, 365 W. First St., Fulton, at the door, or from any CCOC board member.
