Catholic Charities Supports ‘Walk the Bottom Line’

FULTON, NY – Carolyn Handville, coordinator of Oswego County Opportunities Cancer Services program, recently welcomed Catholic Charities of Oswego County as a participant in OCO’s “Walk the Bottom Line.”

The event will be held June 3 from noon to 3 p.m. at Bullhead Point in Fulton.

Catholic Charities Thrift Store, 808 W. Broadway in Fulton, received a large donation of brand new summer clothing and will make it available, free of charge, for those attending the Walk the Bottom Line event.

Walk the Bottom Line is a family friendly event to raise awareness of colon cancer.

Walk the Bottom Line begins with a 1.7-mile walk along the Lake Neatahwanta Nature Trail at 12:45 p.m. followed by a free Yoga demonstration from Rebecca Lloyd of Healing Arts Studio and North Coast Yoga and a free Zumba demonstration from Noelle Salmonson and Faye Beckwith from Dance 4 Fitness Studio in Hannibal beginning at 1:15 p.m.

There will also be a number of organizations and agencies on hand all afternoon with information on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

OCO Cancer Services will also be scheduling appointments for a number of free cancer screenings.
