Catholic Charities To Offer Workshop For Parents

FULTON, NY – The Parent Education Program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County will offer a workshop series that will prove to be very beneficial to parents of children ages 1 through 4.

Entitled 1,2,3,4 Parents, the workshop is video-based, interactive learning experience that teaches the fundamental attitudes and skills necessary for parents of young children.

Topics covered during the four-week workshop include:

Why your child acts like he or she does

How to keep your child safe

How to bond with your child

Why taking care of yourself is important

How you can discipline your young child

Parents and caregivers of children ages 1 through 4 are encouraged to attend this workshop that is free and open to the public.

The 1,2,3,4 Parents workshop will be held on four consecutive Tuesday sessions beginning Oct. 13 and continuing through Oct. 27.

All sessions will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Catholic Charities of Oswego County, 365 W. First St.

Family support services counselors Kana Tryt and Kristian Allen will facilitate the workshop.

Due to space limitations, those interested in attending the workshops are urged to register no later than Oct. 9.
