Beginning in September, Cayuga Community College will offer high school students an eight-week SAT preparation course. “Prep for the SAT Test,†based on the latest version of the SAT, will meet once a week at Cayuga’s Auburn and Fulton campuses.
This intensive course helps students assess their strengths and weaknesses in the verbal and math sections of the test. The course teaches efficient answer strategies for sentence completion, reading comprehension and math reasoning.
The Fulton campus course will be held Thursdays, September 10 through October 29, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Auburn campus course will be held Sundays, September 13 through November 1, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Both groups will finish before the 2009 SAT test dates of November 7 and December 5.
Tuition for the course is $159. A textbook is required at the first class and costs about $20 at the college bookstore.
