AUBURN, NY – Cayuga Community College is hosting two events this month to help prospective students and their families identify why Cayuga is the right place to take the next step toward their academic and career goals.

The College’s Open House and Accepted Student Days allow students to explore academics, student life and athletics at Cayuga, while also helping attendees complete applications, financial aid requests and course registrations.

The Auburn Campus event is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, and the Fulton Campus session is scheduled for Saturday, April 30. Both events are scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon.

“Our Open House and Accepted Student Days are designed to help students who have already been accepted to Cayuga, as well as students who are still exploring their next steps,” said Admissions Director Bruce Blodgett. “By attending either of these days, students and their families can discover what makes Cayuga special, complete an application and register for classes, all with the help of our dedicated staff.”

Attendees can tour campus, meet with faculty, and discover how they can be involved in on-campus clubs and organizations. Sessions are also scheduled to help students learn about athletics, support services and transfer and career services, which are essential for students as they plan for their future after earning their degree at Cayuga.

Specific sessions are also scheduled for parents and guardians, focusing on financial aid and scholarships, students transitioning to a collegiate environment, and academic support services.

Information sessions for the College’s award-winning Nursing program are scheduled for both days. Students and families attending the Auburn Campus Open House and Accepted Student Day can also tour the College’s Culinary Institute, located in downtown Auburn.
