Celebrate Snow Winter Festival at Rice Creek! Saturday, Feb. 15th

Young visitors enjoy the winter themed craft table lead by the Oswego Public Library from the previous year's Celebrate Snow Event at Rice Creek Field Station. This year, Celebrate snow will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15th from 11AM - 2PM (with a severe weather date of Feb. 16th).

Rice Creek’s fifth-annual Celebrate Snow Winter Festival will be held on Saturday, Feb 15, 2025 from 11-2PM. Once again, Rice Creek will partner with local organizations to host fun and educational activities for kids and adults.

The “skijoring” demonstration is returning with author Betsy B. Waterman and her dogs, as well as the winter-themed Story Time with Cathryn Mcvearry from the Oswego Public Library, and play and learn stations by The Children’s Museum of Oswego. As per tradition, there will be complimentary hot cocoa and campfire s’mores available for guests.

New for this year is face painting and a winter mindfulness walk lead by Cory Brosch, MS, LMHC. Adult sizes of cross-country skis will also be available to borrow for those who want to try the sport on the trails.

This event is completely free and open to all, with a severe weather date of Feb. 16th.
